Gallery Duende is a social-artistic project and encourages vulnerable artists to come forward with strong art and to participate in the regular art circuit.
MEMORIES
Jo Op de Beeck and Naomi Bousson
In this exhibition, the artists are guided bij memories.
Jo starts from photography, using multimedia tools.
These works show a nostalgic emotionality.
Naomi usually uses graphite pencil.
Where Jo tells his story more explicitly, Naomi lets the viewer interpret her story by themselves.

Rita Boon
Rita Boon shows a combination of cyanotype, playful 3D pleats and landscapes.
Cyanotype was one of the earliest forms of photography. Besides the classic two-dimensional cyanotypes, Rita introduces pleats into the cyanotype sheet, giving the works three-dimensional, sculptural forms.

Driedee
With the open call Driedee, Kunsthal Mechelen and Kunstwerkt sought visual art that encompasses length, width, and depth. Whether it involves delicate installations or robust sculptures, wall-mounted objects or spatial creations on a pedestal, Driedee explores the interplay between three dimensions across various techniques. The result will be presented in collaboration with students from Curatorial Studies (KASK Ghent) in the exhibition halls of Kunsthal Mechelen.
